H&R Delux Topper M488 .410

My Grandpa gave me this shotgun for Christmas some 25 years ago. Does anyone know how I can tell what year it was made? I checked the FAQ but found no corresponding numbers.

What's the serial number prefix? If it was made before 1940, it has no serial number.

What do you think the chances are that I can find parts for it? I would love to freshen it up and give it to my daughter.

Parts are pretty readily available..try Numrich or other gunsmith supply houses....<><....:)
