Lookin to get either a Glock or the Ruger 97. Anyone shoot both guns and can tell me how they compare?? I was wondering as to trigger pull the same and how the accuracy and reliability compare between the two guns

All I can tell ya is the glock is like holdin on to a 4x4 wood post...if ya dont have big hands go with the Ruger .....especially since this is a Ruger forum. :-)

I've never used a Ruger semi-auto, but I can say that the Glock 36 (single stack .45 ACP) is a whole lot less 4x4ish than their other .45s. I'm with DB...their double stack .45s are a whole lot to wrap my meat hooks around.

The trigger on the p97 is a big improvement over the glock!

It really is a matter of opinion. I personally have never warmed up to the Ruger line of semi-autos. I love their revolvers but have never cared much for their autos.

I love Glocks. I have a Glock 21 (full sized .45) and a Glock 30 (Subcompact double stack .45). My personal opinion is they are better than the Ruger P97 in every way; however, I suggest you try one of each to see what you think.

They are all common guns. Check some of your local ranges to see if they rent Glock .45's and Ruger .45's - then you can decide for yourself.
