OT: Stop Loss
« on: April 04, 2008, 05:07:47 PM »
I just saw this movie ... WELL WORTH SEEING ... it definately will make you proud or at least it did me of our men and women overseas (as if I wasnt already). I was in the Air Force and very proud of my time spent but have always had a special place for ground troops. I dont think I could do what they do day in and day out. I just wanted to get on here and thank each and everyone of you that is/was a ground pounder. I also want to ask everyone to pray for those fallen and pray for those there and those that are soon to go. Thank you for your service and may God bless each and everyone of you. Stu

I'm not going to watch that flick.

Everything I've heard is that it's "another" Holly-weird, anti-war - bash-America flick.

Specifically I heard Michael Medved call it an anti-war flick.  Medved, who's a syndicated radio show host, is better known as a film critic. call it an anti-war flick.

Personally,  I will be glad when the peace is won in Iraq and Af-gannie-stann, but I'm glad the terrorists are dying over there and not in American streets (with American civilians).

So far I haven't heard of "any" good flicks being made about the war on terror, mainly because Holly-weird doesn't seem to believe in it, and would rather push their politics than sell the public what they want and will pay to see.

I'd be lying if I said stop loss doesn't exist, as it does. Heck I was stop lossed myself in the AF, but stayed in, so it really did not bother me at all then. The way I understand the movie form the ads I've seen, they falsified how stop loss actually occurs.
