american classic stocks

Does any one know if the Savage  American classic stock is pillar bedded? Are any of the wood stocks from savage pillar bedded or is that only on their synthetic lines? I have a 243 from years ago that was not but I thought I read some where that they are now. Can some one help me out on this question?

The May 2008 issue of Shooting Times carries Layne Simpson's review of the new Savage 25 boltgun, which is available as a Classic - and he doesn't mention pillar bedding, which is a biggie I don't think a gun writer would overlook writing about.

The 25 is an entirely different rifle than the American Classics (14/114). The 25 give you all of the cost, with none of the home gunsmithing ability.
