rummage sale find
« on: July 13, 2003, 05:00:29 PM »
Found a Crossman 781 at a rummage sale for 2 bucks. It only pumps once and the vel is supposed to be 450 so it is no power house but what the heck for 2 bucks :)  Needed a bit of cleaning with 0000 wool and oil on the barrel but it cleaned up well. I really have to use for a bb gun and if I did would want a more powerful one but what the heck for 2 bucks I was not going to pass it up. Jim
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

rummage sale find

I have found that rummage sales, yard sales, estate sales, etc. are a wonderland of bargains at times.  A bunch of years ago I went to a moving sale and bought two 6 shot, .22 Crosman CO2 pistols that look so much like a S&W M19 .357 mag. that they even fit into the same holsters.  One was a Target model with a 6" barrel and the other was the Combat model with a 4" barrel and Combat type sights.  Still use them for indoor practice in the barn when it's raining out.  I have bought many reloading equipment, rifles, shotguns and handguns at these sales, some real bargains(a Winchester M52 Sporter for $50.00 comes to mind).  Lawdog
