New to me 22 Hornet barrel...WOW

I just shot my 22 hornet barrel I got from Gemsbok, and let me tell you, it could be a shooter.  It was fired open sighted at 25 yds with handloands I made using 223 hornady dies and brand new Winchester brass.  I just wanted to see how it would do with 55 gr SPSX bullets and H110.  Well,  I just might put a scope on it now!  I put 4 out of five shots under a dimes size hole.  The first shot from the cleaned barrel was the only one outside of the group and not by much.

  My eyes aren't that great, I wear glasses, but that is  the best iron sighted small bore shooting I've done.  I had some doubts about the Hornet, but it just might turn into my favorite barrel at this point.  I can't wait to see if I can keep this up with actual hornet dies.

Jerry that's what I said when I bought that old 22hornet with the mannilicker forarm last yr .I was gonna just use it for parts then I shot it WOW.Cleaned it up and put a vintage V8 weaver on it. It's  a go to gun now. Kurt
