629-2 identify and price check.
« on: March 16, 2008, 04:58:46 AM »
Just bought my first Smith & Wesson and could use some help identifying it.

It's marked M629-2 on the inside of the frame under the crane, has a 5" barrel with full underlug and unfluted cylnder hogue monogrips.

It came with mounted with a weaver base burris signature rings and T/C 2.5-7 scope, (had original rear site with it) for 579.00
I felt like it was a good deal, but don't know much about S&W's

Thanks

I think you got a good deal. I paid $400 about a year ago for my 629-1 4" barrel iron sights. It shoots very good. I love it and bet you will yours.
