Been there, done that.  I don't know how anyone with normal size hands actually shoots a Police Positive.  A Tyler T-grip sure makes a big difference.  They are still being made and can be ordered directly from the factory.  Here's a link to their web site:

http://www.t-grips.com/

You do need to know whether your Police Positive was made before 1941 or after.  The pre-war guns use a #7 grip and the post-war guns use a #5 grip.  If you don't know when your Colt was made then go to www.proofhouse.com and look up the year of manufacture using your serial number.  This will be on the frame right above the crane hinge (visible only when the cylinder is open).

As far as the Anaconda grips go, the frame size is the same as the King Cobra.  Here's a link to some Hogue wooden grips with finger grooves:

Lee n. fielder thanks for the useful reply,it turns out the police pos. was made in 1928 although it locks up tight with zero end shake. I don't think i'll be shooting it much other than some wad cutter type stuff,I like the look of those hogue finger groove grips and the price looks right, btw i'm looking for a enfield no.4 mk2 man have the prices gone up. thanks-tt

Hey Timbertramp
Did you find some grips? I shoot a Colt Anaconda also. Those Rubber grips suck. I bought some from Eagle grips. they're a type of Skeeter Skelton grip. There ok. Tried those Hogue grips I didn't like those too much.

Ironworker I tried the checkered hogue fingergrips but have since taken them off and put them on a king cobra as I plan on selling the anaconda they were better than the stock grips but not the grail I was hoping for.-tt
