I have a 1960's vintage M77 that was passed down from my great uncle.  It is 30/06 and shoots 3/4 moi all day.  However I  recently started experiencing failure to eject, with any and all brands of cartridges.
If I single load the chamber, fire , then work the bolt slowly the case will eject clear.  If I work the bolt quickly the case extracts but drops onto the magazine follower.
If I have any rounds in the magazine and work the bolt, the just fired case will only partially extract, preventing a new round from chambering.
Anyone every experience this or have an idea as to  what needs fixing?  I really don't want to get rid of this rifle because it's been in the family and is a fine shooter.
