A-Bolt M1000 Eclipse
« on: February 18, 2008, 08:13:07 AM »
Anyone have an A-Bolt M1000 Eclipse with the 26" barrel and no boss?  I'm thinking of getting one in 7mmWSM for long range shooting and competing.  I have 2 a-bolts stalkers composite and stainless and they are the most accurate rifles I've ever shot.  I suspect the M1000 Eclipse will do the same as far as accuracy but I'd like to hear oppinions on the stock design, etc.  If you have any experience with this rifle good or bad, please tell me about it.

thanks,
Ken

I know 2 guys that have the M-1000 Eclipse blued with the BOSS in 300 win mag. They both like them very much. Wicked accurate. I have not shot one yet but have held them and they are very well balanced and seem like they would be a great rifle. In fact I like the one so much that next week I am buying one of the 2.

Good Luck!

Honay, thanks for the input.  Do you know what kind of groups they're averaging?  I know my hunting weight Brownings are competition accurate with handloads and close to it with factory but I'm curious to see if the Eclipse is better or about the same.

thanks,
Ken
