Tikka T3 Hunter vs T3 Deluxe
« on: February 18, 2008, 03:50:04 AM »
I'm curious about what are the differences between the t3 Hunter and t3 deluxe.   Seems to me just the little emblem on the grip cap... other than that I can't find a difference.   Can someone enlighten me?

I have the Hunter. I've read that the Deluxe has better wood and better metal finish with high grade bluing. The difference is cosmetics. Never saw the Deluxe as the gun shops in my area don't stock them - just the Hunter and Lite.

Mine is a 6.5x55. I handload for it and got off to a bad start. However, after I tried different powder (RL 22) it is shooting OK. First two shots are nearly touching and sometimes do touch, shot #3 increases spread but group is still an inch or less. Five shot groups are nothing to brag about. The barrel heats up and groups enlarge because shots 4 and 5 are high.
