Walleye favorite set-up?

Going to try to do some walleye fishing at Greer's Ferry Lake, around Heber Springs, Arkansas....supposed to be some monster fish in that piece of water.  Only walleye fishing I've ever done was in Maine, through the ice, jigging some minnows...don't think that's going to work here?  (No ice)
What is your favorite jig set-up?
What is your "go-to" live bait?
What is your favorite crank bait?

I like to cast crank baits at weed edges and points and drop offs. Crank baits like the Rapala x-rap and long cast. Deeper running crank baits like the shadrap work well also. I buy off brands on sale when I can. I also like doing a controlled drift while jigging with a minnow on a 1/8 or 1/4 oz jig, contacting the bottom. If none of that works I try trolling with the crank baits. Some people do well with slip bobbers and live bait, but that is not my style. Good luck.

I'm not a walleye pro and the ones I have caught were usually accidents while fishing for white bass during the spring spawn on Beaver and Table Rock Lakes (NW AR).   Apparently the walleyes like to go up the streams to spawn also.  This time of the year I would hit the spots where the tributaries enter the lake.   We usually caught them on road runners or large jigs. I have heard the Devils Fork arm of Greers ferry has a good population of walleyes.  I have a buddy that spearfishes Norfork in the suumer and he finds them on a rocky ridge about 15' below the surface that drops off  60- 70'  on each side.  Go get'm.

Well, just going to get back into Lake Erie walleye this coming spring. Live bait will worm harness. Whatever color works for the day. Depending on wave action, anywhere from 1/4oz to 1/2oz inline weight. Another will be the Erie Dearie weight forward lure, or nuggets. Again, depends on what color works for the day.
If we have to troll, Storm Hot'nTot's, Rapala's will be the norm. gypsyman

I live on the eastern end of Lake Erie and fish it often. Out5 here i use rapalas in the spring for night fishing- the month of May. From the on we use spinner rigs and stick baits with snap weights or fish seekers, dipsys or down rigers. We also use planner boards mast type or inline boards. Fishing for walleyes you will fish at different depths depending on water temp etc. Rich

We like blade baits AKA silver buddy for where we fish. It seems most of the time they like a gold color best. caught a nice 4 pounder the day after thanksgiving. We catch more sauger than walleye though where we do most of our fishing

Best Walleye set up I ever used was a big junebug spinner, a yellow sally, dragging a night crawler.

I got a cottage in Rye Beach, Ohio, near Huron. Got it this May. I have not caught walleye one yet this year. Here is a pic of the guys who have the cottage right behind me. This was taken on their last trip before they pulled the boat for the year. The next pic is me with a limit of yellow perch. Now those I got the hang of.

Your running deeper water there than what we have here in the Western basin. Do you remember if they cought them trolling or drifting? That is a nice catch!! gypsyman

They were just east of Cedar Point using Reef Runners behind the boat and Reef Runners on planer boards.

Late spring I like to sit on the dock and throw out live minnows on a river rig. Otherwise I cast big ol' multi colored jigs and slow reel. I'm simple, but it gets walleye in my favorite Wyoming walleye reservoir. Can't complain.
