Ithica Rifle, by Sako!
« on: February 11, 2008, 03:58:16 PM »
I came across an older Ithica rifle today and it just looked awfully familiar. On closer inspection the barrel is simply marked, made in Finnland. I asked the shop owner and he confirmed what I already suspected, at one time Sako was making rifles that were marketed under the Ithica name. It was a really sharp rifle and you could tell by the smooth bolt action and the feel of the grip that it was pure Sako.

I've got an Ithaca LSA 55 in 6mm Rem that's a great little gun.  Fit and finish are excellent and it's a very good shooter.

I just picked up a magazine for it....talk about difficult to find and expensive when you find it....

I too just bought an LSA-55 Deluxe in 243.
Where did you find your Magazine??
Sure would not mind finding one myself.

i think that the rifle you have is actually made by tikka, i have one marked ithica lsa55. they are the same rifle as the tikka m-55. mine is in 22-250.
also have 2 others that are tikka m-55's one in 6mm and the other is a 222 heavy barrel. i had another a while back in 308 heavy barrel. they all shoot well and are very well made. if you find one pick it up...
i also had a 5 round magazine that i sold with the 308.

I picked it up from an auction at gunbroker.....took me two years of looking to find one that I could afford (found one more that the guy wanted $110 straight out).  I ended up paying $60 with shipping.....
