Does a 22 hornet handi have enough barrel thickness to support a 270 Ren. conversion?

Yup, the Hornet barrel is the same diameter at the muzzle as the 25-06 and 280 Rem, chamber swell diameter and length is the same for all centerfire rifle barrels which are 4140 alloy.

"Chamber swell", so that is what it's called. Sure is a lot easier than saying "you know, the big part of the barrel above the lug".

Thanks Quick.
It is a cool little round, here is more information on it
http://www.reloadbench.com/cartridges/w270ren.html
I think that would beat the hornets little 35-45gr bullet any day. Since I rarely scope anything I own I figure why deal with the extra noise and recoil?
I know that with open sights the farthest I'll likely be willing to shoot anything that God gave a soul is 125 yrds max.
