223 Survivor??

I was looking at my 07' catalog and it lists the Survivors as having ejectors;  Do they still have ejectors or have they swapped them over to extractors?  I'm thinking of buying a 223 Survivor and then getting a 28" full choke 12ga barrel put on it, put a slip on recoil pad on it, and then  I'm wanting to paint everything in my own camo pattern and use it for a coyote/turkey gun.  What's the twist rate of the 223 barrel on the survivors?  I'm looking to use varmint grenade bullets.  What recoil pad would give me a good snug fit on this stock?  And lastly, What's the best way to paint the stock and both barrels?  Do you guys paint the entire gun assembled or do you disassemble it and paint it piece by piece?    I'll look into some of the sticky's, if I remember correctly there's a step by step guide to painting a handi.

Would the survivor 223/12ga be a good coyote/turkey setup?

All rifle barrels have extractors except some that are slow sellers like the 223 Superlight and 450 Marlin that are from old runs of barrels, all shotgun barrels have ejectors, at least until they decide to switch to extractors which they have said they will, but no one has reported an extractor shotgun or rimfire barrel yet. Any current production 223 barrel will be an extractor with a 1:9" twist. See the FAQs for painting help, there are at least two links on that topic. The large slip-on Limbsaver will fit the Survivor stock.

Thanks Tim!  I was affraid you were going to say that.     I wish they would at least offer the ejectors on the straight wall cases like the 357, 44, etc..    If they had an ejector on the new 357/44 / 20ga/12ga combo I would buy it in a heartbeat.  I actually wouldn't have sold my 44 barrel if it had an ejector.  Oh well, anyway  the extractor on the 223 Survivor won't be a problem and should work well for my intended use.  I may call CS and ask them what calibers they have with ejectors laying around and then have them fit it to my frame,  or I may just order a superlight 223 and send it in for a shotgun barrel.  Hmmm, decisions, decisions.   
Anyway, enough of my rambling,

If you have a drill press and are a good DIYer, it's easy to convert an extractor to an ejector or vice-versa, I've done it both ways, it's all in the FAQs.
