44 handi barrel question

My handi is a 44 extractor with a serial number of NW.  What year is this and it is one of the older overbore ones??  I havent slugged it as of yet.

Production year info can be found in the FAQs, I think W=2007. ;) You'll still want to slug it, Marlin didn't make all the barrels produced/fitted in 2007, those made in late 2006/early 2007 can still be overbore since a run of barrels can be 50-100 barrels depending on their order quantity and may last quite a while, depending on sales.

FAQ's indicates that "w" is a 2006 barrel.

 Am I correct in assuming that any barrel ordered now will be one of the new tighter bored ones?  I ordered one three weeks ago.  My blood pressure couldn't stand another of the old ones.:)
