It would not be to me. If it were the adjustable sight model then yeah if I wanted it I'd pay that much. Is it new or used? That too matters price wise. The fact it's a .38 only version makes me think used as these days they are chambered for .357 mag as well as .38 special.

I think way back when I bought my first 3" adjustable sight gun I paid an even $300 for it and then when they started making them in .357 I traded the .38 gun for a .357 and seems I paid close to $100 boot so I guess I could say I have $400 in mine but it is the adjustable sight .357 magnum gun and to me worth a fair bit more than a fixed sight .38 only gun.

In the end tho any gun is worth whatever you are willing to pay for it. If you want it that much and have the money and feel you'd be happy after getting it then pay whatever you are willing to part with for it. I've paid well over what I thought a gun really should sell for because I really wanted it and the seller just wouldn't drop the price any lower.

I think a 3 inch, fixed sight model 60 is kind of a scarce gun...don't see many of those around.  Three inch model 36s (blued) are fairly common as are the 2" models.  A clean, used 2 inch model 60 will run you about $325 or better most places.  $385 might not be too far off for that gun depending on condition.
