I still believe that if the Giants are coming to play, they will be going after Favre.  I didn't say they would be taking cheap shots to do it, but Favre is going to have to spend a lot of time on his butt if the Giants are going to be in the game.  Brett is no dumby though, so there is likely to be a lot of yardage gained by way of the flag.

Yeah, I may be wrong by thinking that football is a rough game, but that's the way I see it.

Well the Giants won if the radio was right. Cable was out all day for repairs thats why I wasn't online.

Yep, that was a great game. I'm glad the Giants won. I have a great deal of respect for the Green Bay Packers though, always have. If someone would have said back in week one that the Giants and Packers would play each other in this years NFC Championship game, they would have been called crazy. Both organizations had great season.

I've been saying all playoffs long that the next game is going to be tough for the Giants. So I'll say it again......the next game is going to be tough for the Giants. Congrats to the Packers for a great season. You're a young team, you'll be back!

Well I hope Farve plays another season. I would hate to see a guy who was having such a great season have his last pass of his career remind him that it cost his team a trip to the big game.  I am far from  a giants fan, but I hope they do the same to New England

hats off to the giants.  they were clearly the better team on the field last night.   if the packers had to lose, i am glad a classy organization like the giants are the ones that beat them.   not a hard pill to swallow at all.  the pack had chance after chance to take the game, and didnt.   best wishes to the giants in the next game.  i will be pulling for them.

I think the two best teams will be playing in the Super Bowl, but I doubt that the Pats will be as forgiving of the Giants for sloppy ball handling as the Packers were.

Great game and a great team won.
Manning looked awesome last night and the last 3-4 weeks.
I'm glad for Coughlin--good coach.
The Packers let it get away. They were out hustled, out psyched, and out played.

As a Giants fan, I hope they trade Jeremy Shockey after the season. The Giants obviously played MUCH better "AS A TEAM" once him and his temper tantrum throwing, helmet throwing, whine *ss, very selfish self was out of the line up.

Don't get me wrong, he can play. In my opinion though, he brings the rest of the team down a lot of the time. A lot of players talk smack. The difference between Jeremy Shockey and the rest of the players is that the other players talk smack to the other team, Shockey does it to his own team. He'll drop five passes in a row and that's fine, the first pass Eli over or under throws Shockey's throwing his helmet and acting like a child. He's gotta go, we don't need him!

I'd trade Jeremy Shockey to Dallas for Jason Witten in a heart beat.  As much as it pains me to say this....I don't even think Jerry Jones is stupid enough to do that, and he's pretty stupid! ;)

The Giants gave NE a run for their money last time they played, the Giants are a deserving and exciting team to watch and could win it.

tscott,  I agree with some of what you posted.  Football should be played outdoors in the cold (snow is even better) on real grass not in a climate controlled dome on plastic turf.

I think you go the score mixed up though.  It should read Pat's 31 - Rotten Apples 17

What do you mean rotten apples? When's Moss' court date? If the giants offense can keep Patsies D on the field, then by the 4th, Brewski and Seance won't be able to tackle Joan Rivers!

Brett: of course you're correct, but as a 50+ year Giant fan (born just north of the Meadowlands, when my Dad was playing pro in NY),
I got to stay with the Giants. I think Brady is the best at making 1st downs. And he basically is a NY boy. I got to find that pic of him in Yankee Stadium, with his Yankee hat, and that girlfriend, that'd knock your socks off!!!!

tscott,

I lived in "Joy-zee" for 16 years, first in North Brunswick, then in Milltown near Princeton.  The first pro football game I ever went to was a Jets/Giants game at the Meadowlands.   Are you near Hawthorne?  I have a sister-in-law up there.

Although born in Jersey, I grew up in the Hudson valley. Went to the first Giants game in the Meadowlands, at least 30 years ago. I'm in NC now and like it. I laugh at Southeners who think NY is a concrete jungle. Too much Law and Order watching I guess, and NC just passed Jersey (our most populous state) in population.
Oh how I long for a real Jersey sub. What's up with biscuits and gravy for breakfast down here? Giants are gonna paste the Pats!!!!

tscott,

This is too much!  I moved to NC five years ago myself.  I live in Stanly County about an hour East of Charlotte.  What part of NC are you in?  Maybe we could hook up and do some shooting of fishing some time.

I thought New England had it right there at the last 30 seconds or so but thank the Lord for the defence.

Wow... the Giants played the game of their lives.  :o Congratulations to them.  Of course now we will still have to put up with the Dolphin fans reminding us that the Dolphins are still the only team with a perfect season.

I like close games, no matter who wins. Shows an even matching of talent.
New York Hunter, you'll have to admit, Eli had better protection in the pocket than Brady did? I was a little disappointed in NE offensive line?
Six_gunz, I thougjht Eli was going to cave, in the fourth quarter when they were down by four but, he got it together and did his job.
All in all, I agree, best super bowl in years!!!
