DA holsters

Why do so many holsters on the market for DA revolvers leave the trigger exposed.   Isn't this a safety hazard that yells law suit?  In a field holster what if a branch gets tied up in the trigger guard?  I see so many nice pieces of leather but have not found one for my Redhawk 4 in that I feel is safe.  I have a Simply Rugged sourdough but also want a more traditional field holster.

I believe it is a holdover from the Border Patrol and that great pistolero Bill Jordon and "Lone Wolf" Gonzalaz. ;D

I guess that maybe my imagination just isn't active enough but I can never imagine a situation that I'd be in where a branch would fire a DA gun in my holster. Besides most have some type of retainer strap that goes over the hammer which would make it all but impossible anyway even for you to pull the trigger and fire it while in the holster. I kinda think you're worrying about something that just isn't a real world concern.

I really like the Bianchi Cyclone. I've never thought about an exposed trigger being that much of a danger, but if you do, this is the holster for you. Rides great, and top quality.

Here is a picture of one of my Bob Mernickle holsters where the trigger is almost totally covered.

The gun is a shortened Ruger SRH so it is a big holster but it isn't as big as it looks in the pic.

i haven't looked up all the holsters but alot have a strap that would keep the hammer in check when the trigger is uncovered , the open top seem to have the trigger covered in those i remember .
Your concern only restates that one should choose the correct tool for the job . And all tools don't fit every job .
my IDPA holster is not my field holster .
