Colt Police Positive Target Front Sight Adjustment
« on: January 07, 2008, 11:08:31 AM »
I just picked up the subject revolver in .22LR.  A 1924 model, pretty good condition for its age. The front sight has a cross screw at the rear of the blade, and another one parallel with the barrel at the front.

Before I bugger up a screw, I thought I would ask first which screw does what.

Does your sight look like this one?  This is on my Officer's Model .22, first year production.

If so the screw in the side is loosened first, then the screw in the front is tightened or loosened to raise or lower the sight blade.  Then you retighten the side screw to clamp it in place.  Be gentle and use the right size screw driver.
