7mm-08 Handi

Alright guys....I need a little advice. I am looking for a single shot 7mm-08. I'm kind of leaning towards a handi, however.....I would "prefer" a thumbhole stock. I just spoke to H&R customer service to which they told me I would only be able to buy a basic Handi and then put on an aftermarket stock. Is this accurate? Is there a company out there that would take my barrel and receiver and add a thumbhole to it?

The 7mm-08 H&Rs aren't available with t-hole stocks, but you can order either the laminated t-hole or the synthetic Varmint stock from them as an accessory, or buy the Varmint stock from Choate, both are just bolt on, no fitting.  You might also find either one in the Classifieds here. GSI makes thumbhole stocks that you finish yourself also. H&R is out of the lam t-holes now and may be for a while.
