Proud Encore Owner.....
« on: January 02, 2008, 01:35:37 PM »
I harvasted a nice doe during a late season antlerless deer hunt. Walked up behind a high noll in the pasture....I peak just over the top and there were 4 deer about 200yds.....laid down prone...and the encore 30-06AI dropped her.

Guys....these encores are great rifles. I have read on websites and talked to people before and after I got my encore...that these rifles were inaccurate. My 30-06AI encore cuts bullet holes when I do my part...This year...I had two of my longest shots at deer.......this one was just over 200yds...the buck I harvasted was shot at...170 some steps...if I remember right.

I am very aware not to over step my ability in shooting deer at the longest ranges.....this encore really gives me great confidence.

Now...I got to get my 243AI tuned up with load development..... to get ready for varmint hunting this year.....Love these rifles

Best Wishes on the start of the New Year.....pdh

Congrats on some fine shooting. I have no doubts about the accuracy of the Encore. This past week I took 2 does with my Encore 280Rem. rifle in front of a witness who said I couldnt do the second one. The first lazered 205yds, one shot one kill. the second lazered 315yds, another one shot one kill. The first went down in its tracks the second went about 30yds. I hit a little low or it would have been DOA.
