Cabela's Deluxe Outfitter Gunpod
Constructed of lightweight, heavy-gauge 20mm aluminum with rotating tubular leg locks and deluxe rubber feet. Ergonomic foam hand grip. Extends from 25-1/2" to 62". Weight: 0.84 lbs.

This monopod is perfect for me, I love it. I use it all the time . I think the price was like $24.00 with S/H, Very sturdy ,easy to adjust height . I bought a cheap LED flashlite at auto zone and attached it with electrical tape. the on/off switch is at the bottom of the light ,so I just need to reach down with one finger and turn it on. I am a big guy #270 and it supports me just fine. The top is a rifle rest that also swivels and is a good handle if you prefer it low like a cane. I have searched high and low for the perfect stick for me and this is it.

Very similar to the Stoney Point shooting stick. I use the Stoney Point products. Nice and light weight and "adaptable" to a variety of situations. Here is the Monopod with a red fox\coyote nite hunting light setup on it.

I use the stony point also, the factory rep tried to sell it to me as a walking stick but I hemmed and hawed enough "til he threw in the yoke. Sometimes it pays to be indecisive.
Davemuzz I like the light clamped onto it, bet that works well.

Yeah....I'm always tryin to get "efficient" when I go out. That's because I seem to have to take "stuff" with me to accommodate my disability. I hate crossbows because they are heavy and clumsy....so I have a compound set on a lighter draw....but I have to have a sling on it 'cause I can't carry it in my left hand for long time periods. I can shoot the bow with the sling attached, or I can remove the sling when I get to where I want to be. (Not that I shoot when I am walking.....but sometimes when I make it in a stand, the sling is nice to hook up when I want to just stand up for a time)

But the light thing is nice because I can scan left\right and up\down for those fox "marble" eyes, and when I find 'em, I just drop the 22 mag on the stick and I'm pretty much there. The light battery is attached to my belt and I hooked up an on\off switch to the battery.

So, I don't have to carry a separate light 'n battery. Before this year (here in PA) you were not allowed to have a gun mounted light. Even now with the law change, you can't scan with a gun mounted light. You must still scan with a non-gun mounted light, then once you make positive ID, you can then use a gun mounted light. I figure by the time I do all of that.....it would be lunch time.   ::)
