44 mag factory ammo

What .44 mag factory ammo shoots best in your gun.  I just picked up a marlin 1894 with a 20 in barrel.  Would like to know if the 185 gr will cycle and also if the 320gr will.  Looking for a all around light load for fun shooting, and for a youth deer gun and a heavy load for a possible hog hunt coming up.

I've used factory 240gr loads for everything, since I first started shooting .44 mags in 1970.
Never mess with success.

Thanks Rangr,  I like the sound of one does all.  What brand and type of bullet are you using ( jacketed soft points?)  I picked up some of Win white box in the 240 gr JSP.  When you say everything dose this include Hog?

Actually, I buy 240gr JSP's when they're on sale - then I buy a bunch ! (like 250-500 rounds)

A "bunch" will last me for quite awhile - but I'm looking for another "sale" right now, since I'm down to about my last 30 (Magtech) or so rounds from the last sale. The Remingtons, I had B 4 that, lasted a couple of years. (I rotate my hunting among several rifles of different calibers - Monday gun, Tuesday gun, rain gun, stand gun, etc, etc)

I've found that there's not much terminal performance difference between brands, unless you opt for premium ammo/bullets - like Garretts, Buffalo Bore, etc.

The supposed "accuracy difference" between brands is closer than I can shoot at 100yds with iron sights.
"Point-of-impact", however, is another thing - new/different ammo most often requiring re-zeroing.

I shoot 44mag 240gr JHP  MCC Mountaineer Custom Cartridge in my Henry 44mag rifle......This company has been in business for over 20 years. They service over 70 police departments!!

All boxes contain 50 rounds. Remanufactured ammunition uses once fired cases. New ammunition uses all new components. Hard Cast Lead bullets are 18-20 brinell hardness, match grade, and coated with a non-sticky lube. JHP bullets are Hornady XTP. Bullets for the 30 M-1 carbine are Remington.
