Factory muzzlebrake on a Handi
« on: December 05, 2007, 02:57:54 PM »
I was cruising through my local gun shop last night and came across a different Handi.

On the end of the barrel it had a muzzlebrake that had six holes drilled longitudinally along the barrel in a circular pattern and there was a series of 8 of these series that encompassed the barrel.

It had a green laminated stock that was checkered and was in .30-06.

The serial number began with "HK".

They had $369 on it...the guy was claiming that it was some special edition.

Anybody have any ideas?

It's an Ultracomp, they made them up until a few years ago, I have 3 of em, a 30-06 and two .270s, if you look in the FAQs, you can learn what year that one was made.

That would be it but is it worth that much money?  It appears to be in fairly good condition.

I paid $350 shipped for that one, same for one of the .270s with red/black laminated stock, both were like new, bought two other accessory barrels in 30-06 a couple years ago when they had some, sold em on ebay,  the other .270 barrel was used, I fitted it too one of my late model frames with a cinn lam stock, was gonna sell it to a member here for $300, but he changed his mind.

$369 is a little high if it's not in like new condition.

Another thing to consider is the HK frame is too old to have any high pressure barrels fitted, has to be HN or NN or later. :-\
