I finally got my hands on a 20 ga. Mallard yesterday. The fit and finish were much better than the finish on the competition (Rem. Spartan, Mossberg, Stoeger). The gun balanced well and wasn't as heavy as the others. The front trigger was a bit heavy, but was acceptable. The rear trigger was fine. The wood was lightly grained, but really good looking.
Needless to say I bought it in a heartbeat. Out the door price was $500. Honestly, the gun looked to be under-priced by at least $200. I think my father-in-law is going to be very happy on Christmas Day.
I like the gun so much that I intend to have one by next season.
