I have the rifle sighted in and it is shooting OK..
Just one small problem; the extractor lip that hooks under the rim of the cartridge is straight across, not curved to fit the chamber contour.
When I put in a new round, it shaves off a sliver of brass from the round side of the cartridge body. Whats worse, is that I have a bit of trouble withdrawing the empty from the chamber due to this drag.
Is there likely to be any harm if I were to file the center of the extractor lip just a bit, so I could more easily pull out the empty ?
Anyone ever done that ?
