I think I didn't think!!!

I walked out the door without buying the used 50 ae 6" field grade for $699.  It has a scope mount no box or rear sight.  I preferred the 50 WE, but looked on line just now and saw a can get a cylinder for under $400.  It looked great shape with only carbon staining on cylinder.  Do I need to rethink this one?  I'm probably going back first chance tomorrow to get a better look.  I hope it's still there. :-[

I'm personally not into the .50s but that sure seemed a heck of a price to pass up on. If you're in the market for a .50 I'd say you should not have passed on it.

I'll be doing just that. 

If it were a 454 I wouldn't have left.  I did research on the 50's last night, and it'll do.  Hope everybody passed too! :)

Well,.. I got it, but not excatly.  I had to lay it away for now.  But boy do I feel like a kid at Christmas. ;)

Do I understand correctly that you can pony up $400 for another cylinder and turn this item into a 500 Wy-Ex?  If so, that's neater than snot!!

Yes $371 and they do all the hand fitting.  Only thing about 500 WE is dollar a piece for brass, dies are over $100.  All through Freedom Arms.  It will be shot as the AE for awhile as I rebuild the funds for the cylinder.  But, that is exactly why I decided to pick it up.
