Just got back from Stuttgart, AR for opening day. Shot 6 yesterday and 3 on Sat. This was my first AR duck hunt. While we didn't come close to limiting out, (there were 3 of us), we had a great time. 1st day there wasn't a lot of ducks moving into the fields but there was good wind. The second morning there were plenty of ducks but little wind to help out our decoy spread.
Shooting a rem 870 express with modified choke and steel 4s and 3's. Seemed to work pretty well. We ended up with 4 teal, and 5 Redheads. That's right, red heads. Our guide said that was unusual for them to come into the fields like that. I'm getting a drake mounted. Although I went to college in AR all I did back then was deer hunt; I feel like I really missed out, that duck hunting is a blast!!!
