RWS 48 ss 52?

I'm looking for a powerful sidecock or undercock (fixed barrel) air rifle for small game hunting.  Was looking at these two rifles.  Am I correct that the only difference between these two is the stock?  Most likely I would get the combination with the scope, just to simplify things.  I have heard the scope which comes on top is not too bad. 

Any other recommendations?  I was also looking at the model 54 with that recoil reducing system, but too many bucks, and I don't really mind the recoil of an airgun either, doesn't affect my accuracy too much.  $450 or so for the model 52 with the scope is the very top end of my price range.

You're right, the only difference between the 52 & 48 is the stock. I have a 48 & it's a powerful gun & can be pretty accurate once you get used to it. I got a RWS scope with it that has held up. The scope is Korean made, AO and the rings are fairly stiff to turn, but it works well. I wouldn't know if the same scope is still offered. The C mount I got with it leaves a bit to be desired, but I finally got it to work.
When I first got it I was able to get it to group about 7/8" at 45 yards.
My longest shot on an animal was 50 yards on a rabbit. He took a hop straight up and dropped not to get up again. Squirrels seem to be a bit tougher and usually require a follow up for a quick kill.
