I was looking for a good used over-under trap gun and stumbled on a deal at Gander Mountain for a $1300 new Winchester Select Energy Trap. It seemed like a heck of a deal so I bought it. For the price of a used gun I got a new one with some really nice modern bells and whistles. I go pick it up today.
I never really considered buying any Winchester products for any reason, but this one was compelling.
I'll report on it here as I get used to it.
One basic attribute that I can comment on now is that the guns are designed more like the Berettas than the Citoris. In other words, they don't feel so blocky when you handle them.
With this model there is the option of getting an adjustable stock, but I decided not to go that route. I'll see how I shoot it, and then go talk to a stock fitter.
