Second largest youth harvest on record

  The MDC reports that during the two day season there was a deer harvest of 12,267 the second largest on record.  Congrats to all the kids that got a deer. For more information on the harvest you can go to www.missouriconservation.org/news.

I'm proud to say that 2 of those deer were taken by our niece and nephew!

More important than the harvest number from the MDC is the accident number during the youth hunt. That number was a big fat ZERO!!  Way to go kids!

Another cool thing that the MDC is doing is the "first deer award" which can be printed at:

They will even put a picture on the award if you send one in with it.  I will be sending 2 of them off and hopefully one more before the season is over!
