G35 assembly screw-up
« on: October 30, 2007, 05:53:19 PM »
I managed to screw up assembly of the world's easiest handgun to field strip and clean.  I had done this a dozen times before with no issues.  This time I forgot to place the recoil rod and spring back in the slide, before reassembling :-[.

It is stuck now and I cannot get the barrel and slide to come off.

Is there a trick to this?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Turn it upside down and insert a pencil into the barrel.  Push the chamber end of the barrel down into the slide. Now release the slide lock and disassemble as usual, while keeping it upside down. Gotta admit, never heard of anyone doing that before--------- :o :D
