Magnum springer air rifle scope recommendation
« on: June 16, 2003, 07:14:54 PM »
Hey guys, I'm a newbie to the scope scene, your expertise will be appreciated, I have a RWS model 48 springer comming,it has a reputation for eating airgun scopes, I don't have mucho dinero as I am currently unemployed, I'll be shooting magpies, starlings, varmints, probably 30 to 50 yds. any good airgun scope tales. Thanks . :D

Hanqster,

I don't know what type of power you are looking for, but I would recommend 2 scopes that are great scopes for an airgun at a reasonable price.  They are the Bushnell Trophy 4-12x40 or 6-18x40.  Both are great scopes optically and are specially made for centerfire and air rifles.  Can not beat them for the price.

Hangster,
I have a RWS model 34 air rifle and I bought the adjustable scope mount and added to it. I put a Bushnell 4x air rifle scope on it and it works for me. I have shot over 3000 rounds and the scope has held up so far.
The adjustable scope mount costs 51.99 at Cabelas
The Bushnell costs 64.99 at Cabelas
You might be able to buy cheeper some where else. This worked for me but you will have to find what works for you best. There is many ways to go. Carl L.

I have a BSA 3-12x44 you could get ahold of cheap.  No ring marks of any kind. It is made for air rifles, says so right on it. Had it on a .22 for a short while and got a Tasco 6-24x just this week.  Send me $50 + $5 shipping and it is yours...Dallas
