Okay everyone lets see some traditional harvest photos or related photos of your guns or frolics and so forth.My camera is not working so I can't start it off.And the one I got this year I took pics with a dispossible,the pics were kinda gory anyways.So lets see some smoke.

I made the top one, took me 2 years and 200 hours...Finished it in 1990...It's my idea of what a 1770 rifle that came out of the shop at Salem, NC would look like...It is a .54 caliber...

The second one, I bought in Stone Mountain, GA in 1977...It was made by the late Bob Watts...It started out as a .45 caliber, I rebarreled to a .40 when I finished the .54...

Here is a pic for all those .32 lovers, my 8 year old girl winning the under 12 children comp with her .32 Davy Crockett shooting rb's with 35grains FFF.
Take note that they were aloud to use a rest, since her gun is longer than her

......and one of my 12 year old who took 2nd in the under 18's with her .32 Deerstalker! (only had the gun for three days and hadn't removed the ugly scope yet, sorry for the purest among us! but I'm to proud not to share!)

Very impressive collection and it's nice to see the whole family involved liked that. ;)BTW I'm one of those who loves the .32 cal.The highest load for mine so far is 25 grn of 3F.I see your useing 35 grns. How high can I safely go ?Thanks for the pics.

I should say about 50grains of FFF max. Not sure what the max are on them, but a few guys over here use 40-50 grains with great success. Some of them shooting a 107grain conical.
It all depends on what what load your gun prefer on groupings. Don't know how yours preform with the 25grain but the Deerstalker give it's best groupings with 40grains at 50-85 meters but are about 3" high. The Davey Crockett best is with 35grains on the same distance. Have dropped the load on the deerstalker to 35 as well so that there isn't any confusion between the two girls and its groupings with that load is satisfactory for kids shooting.

First pair are Kentucky Commemorative"s I made up. The Ky Quarter is imbedded in both stocks along with the outline of the state stipeled in.
Next is a 32 Squirrel Rifle. and a 45 cal squirrel rifle barrel put on a bobcat stock and a 50 cal Bobcat

here is a .32 cal blue ridge that I had custom cut to a youth size including: barrel, stock butt and the full front stock, brass re-fit and I had my sons name wire in-laid in the stock along with brass tacks for decoration.

I bought this sweetheart back in February for my birthday. Had it in the woods this deer season and got a big doe with it on the last day of ML season here in Virginia.

She is a Cabela's Sportized Hawken Carbine made by Investarms in .54 cal.

Sorry I didn't have the camera when I got that doe.

Got this buck during modern gun season on some public land in Fl. this yr. Killed it with my Berks Co. .58cal. flintlock using .562" patched round ball.

Had a little fun tonite with the .32 rifle I bought on here..Shot 7 times tonite,1 miss,and one I shot twice. Shooting hornady balls with TC lubed patch and 30 grain of RS. Head shots out to 30 yards NO PROBLEM.

Thanks Rat..I am still having a great season. Bow until feb.16th for deer and gun for small game is still open too. gun for deer is over yesterday.

I built this rifle from a kit in 1976. It is a T/C Hawken in .45 caliber. Over the years my rifle has accounted for quite a few deer, including this doe which I harvested last fall at 87 paces.

But I noticed the gun's finish after 31 years was getting really worn. So I decided an overhaul was in order. The stock was refinished using tung oil (I wish now I had tried tiger stripping it), the barrel rust browned, and I charcoal blued the sights. Here are some photos of my "new" gun....

I do not know if you will be able to see it in this last photo, but I had the patch box engraved with my name and the year I built the gun.

It's nothing fancy, and I don't know a thing about it other than it's a Thompson/Center "Seneca" .36 cal. I know I have never fired it. It was given to me a long time ago by a good friend. She may or may not have fired it herself.

Even though I don't have much use for it, I doubt I'll ever sell it. The lady who gave it to me, is a very special lady, and I wouldn't do anything to hurt her feelings. It meant a lot to her when she gave it to me. (Now I know this sounds like an old lover story, but it really isn't. Just a special friend.)
