Jag stuck !!!!

I was cleaning my ultra .243, started a patch down the barrel, it was a little tight but I thought it would go through ok. ::)
As I got near the end IT STOPPED!
Finally after breaking the jag and cleaning rod, I got it out but it had a rough place you could feel when you passed a patch through.
I worked it over with JB's and finally it smoothed out.
I hope I didn't damage anything, and also I wonder if the rough place was there before I stuck the jag?
I didn't feel it before but thats exactly where the jag locked up (about 3-4 inches from the end).
Any ideas or advice?

Sorry to hear about that. I got tired of fooling around with cleaning rods for my general cleaning. I took the advice from Quickdtoo
and ordered the Patchworm. No chance of damaging the barrel with this system.

Sorry to hear about that. It sounds like you did the right thing. It sounds like you polished the barrel.
I was also looking at the patchworm. If it's made of nylon, wouldn't some solvent dissolve it after awhile? -gary

I've been using Patchworms for over 3yrs, they still work fine, just like the nylon brushes that I use with carbon fiber rods. ;D
