Well my mind was made up for the most part before starting this thread. Cause, 5 hours later, I bought the 7mm Rem Mag

and still have the odd 6. My wife bought me that gun and every time I mentioned selling/trading it, she gave me a slight indication of disappointment. But, if I offered to give her the money from the sale, you know that gun would be a distant memory for her.

I did not mention, I am left handed, and this is the source of much of my loyalty to Savage. I think I need to make a life long decision to never get rid of a left handed bolt gun - period. Its easy to find a left handed gun, its hard to find just the right gun you are looking for at the time in left handed. This gun did that for me, it has a nice left handed stock, chambering I sort of wanted and did not have, very good trigger, and soft enough on the wallet to allow me to buy a gun I don't need. Who knows, maybe, some day I might load it down to about 90% and hunt with it since I am in 100yd and less country. I cant do that with my 270wsm since its a right handed gun and weighs about 10.5 lbs.
I will try and get a picture of this in a tread in the savage forum because there are no pictures of the gun on the savage website, heck, I needed to talk to 2 customer service reps just to find someone that knows they make it.
