RCBS 3 way trim pro
« on: June 10, 2003, 02:50:26 AM »
Does any one out there have or have used a 3 way trim pro cutter.  Looks like it will trim, chamfer and neck turn all in one.  I have a 30-30 improved that I used 375 winchester brass to form to it.  The necks got turned once but are still too thick to use with cast bullets.  What a pain in the @@@!  For 35 bucks from midway it looks like a reasonable investment that beats the crap out of trying to do it by hand.  Dan

..........NO!!!! Don't get it for neck turning....the three things it does are trim.....inside deburr.....outside campher.....it doesn't neck turn the thickness of the neck walls.......they do make a addon atachment  to neck turn on the trimmers but it is different from the three way tool.........I havn't used the outside neck turner of RCBS but do have one from Forster and it works fine for my use......feedback fromn others on the three way RCBS tool is that it works well but is slightly difficult to get adjusted for a new case neck size if you use it for different caliber cases....again this is board feedback from other boards..not personal experience with the three way but it's fuction is spelled out in the catalog of several suppliers of RCBS equipment......HTH...good luck and good shooting-loading!!

I went into midsouth and read the description.  Found out what you just said.  The good thing is that the neck turner is cheaper.  Now I have have to save up for it or sell some stuff this weekend.  Dan
