VETTERLY
« on: September 08, 2007, 04:29:33 PM »
I know this is not a handgun but it is definitely a relic. I am looking for a scabbard for a vetterly-vitali bayonet. It is the original length and not the cut down version. I already have the bayonet for this rifle but since the scabbard was leather (I am assuming here) I cannot find one. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it,
Jim

Jim...
I have two vetterlis, and two bayonets, and have been looking for scabbards for years.....they are rare...
You may have to have one made...that said, keep on looking...you may get lucky. If you find another bayo with a scabbard, grab it you can always sell one and keep the scabbard.

Yeah, I thought I was lucky to find the bayonet in the original length. I have found a couple of the cut down versions with scabbard but not the full length.
