Hans,

I have been using the 130 Sierra Single Shot Pistol bullet and 34.5 Grains of IMR4895 with the CCI 200 primer.

MOA load and put 2 in the freezer last year with it.  One went down in it's tracks, and the other went about 30 yards.  70-125 yard shots.

I experimented around for years with this caliber. These days I use only one load and that's the Sierra 130 SSSP bullet over 35.5 grains of W748. It is MOA or less in most every barrel I've seen it tried it and many have tried it on my suggestion and reported back to me. Some up the charge to as much as 36.0 and some drop it to as low as 35.0 grains but that is one fine load. I use nothing else in the caliber now and bet I have 200 or more of them loaded up ready to go all the time.

I also use W-748 with excellent results. I use the Nosler 120 gr. BT. This is a very accurate load. Every load I shot was remarkable when I was working up my hunting load. My pistol shot the best with the max load in my Sierra manual. But always start low and work up gradually. I've taken only one deer but the load performed well.
Love my 7-30
Good Luck,
Stan
