Stevens 111?????
« on: September 01, 2007, 06:33:51 PM »
Ran into a Stevens 111 in 30-06 for sale the other day. Anyone ever heard of these? It seams to be the same as a Savage 110, maybe in its basic form (walnut stained Birch-Blind Mag.). Anyone know when abouts they were sold?
Thanks

Thanks victorcharlie
So then the Stevens 111 was a precursor to the Stevens 200!?
Thanks for the info.

Actually, mine is a Savage 111.....So I'm probably wrong.

I think the Stevens might be newer than that as the pre-accuratrigger Savage was re-branded as a Stevens 200 when Savage introduced the Accutrigger.....but I don't think the newer Stevens comes with a wood stock.

I searched gunbroker.com and didn't see any Stevens 111's......

It could possibly be much older than what I said......

There is Savageshooters.com which would be a good place to post the question, but it's a pay site.....

Maybe someone else can help us with this?
