I've got a 1999 Dodge 2500 4x4 with 200,000 miles on it.
When in 4 wheel drive there's a popping sound when I back up.
Sounds like it's coming from the rear end.
Any guesses on what it could be?

First guess, rear universal. When in reverse you are changing it's normal direction of travel, and if it is badly worn it will pop.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.
