H&R Model 340 Bolt Action .30-06

Can anyone give me some info on a Harrington Richardson Model 340 bolt action in .30-06?  Blue Book says they were made 1982-1984 but doesn't say if they were actually made by H&R in America or imported from another manufacturer.  Any info would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks
