That truly is a revolutionary Bolt-Action concept, and I like it.  Does that mean that I would buy one?  Well, that depends on the price, but I'm sure that it must be very expensive (and heavy).

It seems like this gun would be best served by African hunters.

Thanks, but "No, thanks".  I agree with Zachary that Africa might be the place for such a rifle.

Even if cost was not a factor I don't see myself wanting one.  Don't know what the weight is but I know I wouldn't want to carry one.

I want one for Ground hog hunting. That way I would have a quick second shot and those shells ought to put them down. ;D ;D ;D ;D

I find it a pretty interesting piece.  Had the same thoughts as Zachary and Coyote Hunter - it has got to be 11+ pounds(?).  Barrel regulation issues probably limit range potential.  It's not a mountain rifle for sure.  It would seem though to have some advantage on dangerous game for the close, fast follow-up shot(s).  I don't have any real world use or need for such a contraption, but it is strangely appealing to me.  It looks to be a very high grade piece and someone has done some significant engineering to make it work in such a seemingly smooth manner.  I probably can't afford it either, but if money were no object (meaning value and usefulness not considered) I'd sure like to have it too.

I gotta say I'm not a fan.  A little bolt speed practice, and you can get to shooting pretty quick with a normal gun.  That thing would be heavy as heck.

You already have 4-6 shots in a regular bolt action anyways.

good idea. it doesn't appeal to me. i wouldn't buy it. if you want a fast 2nd shot for that type of money you could have a browning bar with a vxl scope. it still would be lighter and faster. i would rather have the auto with nice scope than expensive gun no scope.  and weight its got to weigh a lot and the magazine looked cheap and flimsy. i would hate to say it but the Remington 710/770 would out shoot it any day.

In all fairness, the niche market for this would seem to be dangerous/safari game guide type guns for protection (ie, main hunter makes a bad shot and you got something big and nasty charging at you).  In such cases scopes are more a hindrance than a help (hitting a moving target with a scope is hard enough as is - if it's charging and intending to kill me that's just gonna make that shot even harder :)).  Auto's are also generally considered unreliable in such cases, and despite being pretty fast, traditional bolts would still be too slow.

Truthfully, this is more a case of trying to have this supplant traditional double-rifles, rather than bolt rifles.  Whether or not this offers anything over a double rifle would be debatable, but it's interesting enough that I'd certainly want one :) (though as I said earlier, I will never be able to afford one, nor would I likely pay the asking price even if I did have the money).

Of course I have been thinking a regular break action .45-70 SxS Rifle would be cool, and those aren't TOO expensive :).

That thing is way way up there on the coolness chart.

Now who here wouldn't stare and watch in amazement if the guy next to you on the range was shooting that gun?

i would look at him like he was stupid for spending that type of money on that gun. ok if you don't think a auto what a bout a pump rifle it would still do better.

Years ago (10-15) I remember reading an article about a couple of bolt action doubles.  The article covered two guns, a side by side like in the video, and an over and under.  I have no memory about the maker except that I thought it was a gunsmith not a firearms company, but I may be wrong.  They could well have been made by this German company that made these.

I agree with the other comments.  I would love love love to have one, but I would have to sell the house to afford it I am sure.  Probably falls into the category of..."If you have to ask, you can't afford it".

Ok.  I took a look at the website and it is the one I remember reading about, but not as long ago as I thought.  They do have pictures of over and unders as well.  Absolutely beautiful firearms, and truly unique.
