Competition Possibilities?
« on: August 19, 2007, 08:12:40 AM »
although i am a diehard Remington fan, i really like the accuracy and the great stock - (though somewhat heavy) - as i see it - on my .270 Win' Vanguard.   interestingly it holds five rounds in the magazine, as do all hte Vanguards in the 'standard' calibers up through the .30-06.   that means that with a little work and a good barrel a Vanguard might make it very well through some of the competitions put on by the various gun clubs through this country.   some of the rules require a 5-shot magazine for "across-the-course" competitions.

does anybody know of a competitor out there who is shooting a Vanguard or a Howa in competition?

take care,

No but I see no reason as to why not.

Had to look that one up. Actually if you knew me in person you'd think the opposite.
