I found today the data on the 959JDJ.  This is just stupid, but cool as hxxl.    959 caliber bullet    3600 grns at 2200fps.  ahhhhhhhh  makes you want to run out there and get some.

The case they converted is 20mm vulcan shortened and blown out to .959.
We are making a 4bore from same brass using case full length, 4.1" long
and .989-1.00 " bore-- 2000gr slugs at 3200 fps  possible . Same 4bore case
as Ken Owen puts in his 4bore custom built doubles, only they are turned cases.
Or 3500 gr at 2400 if you want heavy bullets.
We are making a two bore case that is 5" long, will put a 3500 gr out over
3000 fps if you want. Case made from 27mm Nato aircraft round cut off
and it is steel case.Here is pic of 2bore. The case is rimmed.30-06 0n right
for comparison.

     So what kind of recoil are we talking about here?  Got to be a great deal more than this.  After the first few shots with the bolt-action I get the impression he is not looking forward to pulling the trigger on that wicked double-rifle.

Hey there, i went to a recoil calculator website and typed in the data and this is what i got, as compared  to a 30-06 180 gr load you get 14.5 fps recoil velocity and about 22 ft pounds of recoil energy.i used a gun weight of 25 pounds just as a example
