Thank you Bill, and perhaps I'd do well to simply back your statement.
You'll notice that I guarantee diameter to be at least as large as specified, with the alloy specified, and not more than .0015 over specified diameter. I don't name a time frame or anything else, but I treat my customers like I want to be treated. I'm not comfortable putting a time on a warranty, because often customers get molds but don't use them for a long time.
In the last year I've repaired one mold and replaced another that had been out for 10 years or more, because I made them wrong. ONe of these customers had used the mold all that time with a visual flaw that didn't bother him, but when he wanted to sell bullets they needed to look good. I do make the final decision on whether a problem is my error or not, but I'm dead honest, and often flex a long ways over backward of the customer is unhappy. LBT testers are almost invincible, but I've repaired a few over the years, inexpensively if old and battered, but I always fix them, no matter if from my first production 27 years ago. (The only un repairable in all those years has been ruined by fire or run over by an auto.)
All the concerns you have are very valid. In fact crucial in that if lacking the mold could be worthless. I charge a high price for my molds, and have to to survive, but I make sure my customers get what they pay for, as my business is entirely from word of mouth recommendations, repeat business and this forum. I feel a lot better junking and replacing a few unsuitable molds and keeping happy customers than in spending money on advertising, then not being able to back my own products.
