installing a new sear in a 452
« on: August 15, 2007, 05:05:11 PM »
I will save you a bunch of time.  Grind the wood screw in front of the trigger guard down.  Like an idiot I did not read directions and spent about one hour longer than I should have screwing with my 452 because the sear would not engage.  Finally read the directions and found that the center screw was actually hitting it.  Grind Grind Grind Grind. I will recomend automation Solutions sear worked very very well for me.

Hey Prebanpaul:
Is that new sear longer than the original sear spring, that you have to grind down the end of the screw?     I'm curious.   I've been reading posts of replacing the sear springs for lighter and crisper trigger pull.   I've got a 452 I might want to tinker with. ;D

I just bought the kit for 26 bucks of ebay and put it in.  Helped out a lot.  The middle screw has hitting it and caused  all kinds of problems.  Took me about an hour to read directions.  Then there it was line 10    grind the screw down.  had to laugh.  Find that company I stated before and you should not be up set.
