Gents:
I purchased a set of the Talley "quick detach" scope mounts for my CZ 550 FS. I used them to install a Tasco exp 1.5-5 - 32/44mm, "Oval Reticle" scope on the rifle. The problem I have is that with the scope attached the bolt handle contacts the scope when I try to work the action. I have aslo tried attaching a 32mm Bushnel 1X4 and 40mm Bushnel Elite scope to the rifle with these rings but the same thing happens with the bolt when I try to work the action.
Does any have any experience with this happening? Is there another brand of scope that will let the bolt clear the scope with this combination of rings & rifle?
A friend told me that I may have to get a gunsmith to shape the bolt handle so that it will clear the scope. I would like to avoid this - but if there is no other way then it may have to happen.
If anyone has any suggestions or has figured out a fix for this problem I would appreciate your input.
