I have painted about 50 or 60 stocks,it is a very simple process.First wipe down the stock with rubbing alcohol (after you take the action out, recoil pad off,and bottom metal off). I personally like to hang the stock from the ceiling using some fishing line and running it through the sling studs.I use the Krylon Fusion paint as a base coat, then while it is still tacky I spray the color of paint I want (if it is a different color then the Fusion color). After you are happy with the paint scheme,I spray on 2 coats of Krylon Satin clear coat.Give it a day to set and dry and put everything back together. Here are a couple ones I have done in the last 2 weeks.

The top one is my Rem 700 MTN Guide in .308. I used Krylon OD Green and Black Webbing paint.
The bottom one is my friend's Rem 700 SPS in .243 that we camoed out with Krylon OD Green and Desert Tan.I used some leaves and brush from the yard to help break up the outlines.
